"Cold as Ice" Help please!
As title says, I've tried this about 30 times, with almost any build imaginable. Degen Mesmer, Degen Ranger, Warrior Damage, DSlash Quarterknock, AotL Barbs... Seriously... Nothing works for me. If anyone could please shed some light on this issue, it would be much appreciated.

I've defeated it with Spirit Spam build (on a Monk), should work for you as a Warrior despite the limited Energy regen. You shouldn't need to resummon them much at all, anyway.
Build: W/Rt Channeling 11, Communing 11, Restoration 9.
Signet of Spirits (Elite)
Pain
Bloodsong
Vampirism
Shadowsong
Armor of Unfeeling
Spiritleech Aura
Summon Spirits (or Syphon Spirit for Energy management to offset your low regen)
Use a staff with +20 Energy. Pre-summon all spirits, cast armor of unfeeling/aura, aggro him and run around until it is dead, re-summon as necessary.

i think it was aura of the lich that i used on my warrior and it was pretty easy to manage to get him body blocked. if he gets body blocked then he wont be able to summon any of his spirits so make sure you get your minions up before he comes down. and then stand next to where he spawns at so you can start off by blocking him. good luck mate!.

How Did Aotl Barbs not work...? Try again..and bring more energy, and make sure all the corpses are in earshot.

The thing with AotL is that you MUST wait until AFTER he turns hostile. If you immediately zone in and use AotL your minions will simply line up behind you and won't be of any use body blocking. The premise of AotL is that if the Griffon is kept stationary he WON'T summon any more spirits.
So, if you wait until he turns hostile and THEN use AotL, the minions will swarm around him effectively body-blocking and preventing him from spirit-spamming.

The build that Windf0rce suggested is similar to one I use for farming the Bison Tournament with my Warrior. The major difference is to drop Pain (SoS uses 3 spirits that cast Pain) and substitute Mighty Was Vorizun.
Cast Might Was Vorizun first. Any staff will do since MwV will give you +30 energy. Cast it again if needed.
You can aslo substitute Gaze of Fury for one of the skill to drop his spirits, if any.

I used aspicious parry/riposte/deadly riposte/sprint on my warrior. Took a little while but he went down pretty easy. had to run away from the spirits when he spawned one or two while blocking all of the griffon's melee attacks. Had a long bow to build adrenaline for aspicious parry when I lose his aggro.

Did it on my war with the AotL build. Add ymlad, sin support and barbs. The trick (for me) was to cast AotL at the right time. Just before he turns hostile, and you have to stand next to it. If you do it that way, the minions wil come to you in a cirkel and when it turns hostile it will bodyblock him 100% sure. Trow barbs on him, and watch him go..

I've only done it once with my monk and it was a real simple build made up of two mesmer degens and YMLAD.
It took a while, if I remember correctly... and there was a ton of running around like a chicken with my head cut off, but it did work. lol

Search button would have made this far easier.
From personal experience: the build with Aura of the Lich is depend on luck but in theory works fast. I didn't try the Spirit build because as a warrior to invest in all those useless skills would be kinda stupid. A degen build works best imo, pretty safe maybe a bit slow.

Degen with hunter's shot, poison tip signet, and longbow or flatbow should work for any class. Just stay out of his aggro and reapply poison and bleeding as needed.

This helped me heaps! Thanks. Just beat him by summoning the minions as he turns hostile as opposed to straight away, which makes the minions smother him. And for all those "omg use search noob", I did, which is where I used all of the ideas. So thanks for all the replies, but most effective method for me was AotL+Barbs, but make sure to summon them after he turns hostile.
